Book a 30-Minute AssessmentWhat This 2-Minute Check Actually Looks At
Five real things, not a personality quiz. The check asks about your child’s exposure so far, whether they understand simple spoken sentences, how much everyday vocabulary they already know, how comfortable they are speaking out loud, and whether they can read anything yet. Two more questions, which language and what you’re hoping for, shape the wording of the result but don’t add to the score.
Each answer is worth 0 to 3 points. Add up the five scored questions and your child lands somewhere between 0 and 15.
What Each Result Actually Means
True Beginner
Your child is just starting out, and that’s a fine place to start from. Lessons aren’t the goal yet. Making the language feel fun and pressure-free is. Short, playful sessions beat anything formal at this stage.
Early Learner
There’s already real exposure to build on. This is also where progress tends to stall without a little more structure. Twenty minutes, twice a week, done consistently, tends to move the needle here.
Building Confidence
A genuine base is already there. Listening and vocabulary usually run ahead of speaking at this stage, which is normal, not a warning sign. Regular speaking practice with a patient adult, one who won’t make mistakes feel embarrassing, helps most now.
Ready to Advance
The basics are solid and it’s time to push further. Generic apps and beginner classes often can’t keep up at this score. Targeted one-on-one work that finds the exact gaps gets the fastest results.
A Few Honest Things About This Check
- This is a quick self-check, not a formal assessment. It takes about 2 minutes and doesn’t need an email to see the result.
- For an actual assessment, one of Inspire’s certified teachers can test your child properly in a paid 30-minute session and send a written report afterward.
- Retaking the check with different answers won’t produce a “better” tier. It’s built to reflect where your child actually is, not to sell a specific outcome.
